Richard A. Herrera is licensed by the State of California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser and is FHA approved. He has a BA degree with a specialization in Economics from San Diego State University. Mr. Herrera has been accepted as an expert witness in the Municipal and Civil Court Systems and he is a Family Law joint appraiser, 730 expert.
Mr. Herrera oversees a team of experienced real estate professionals. He is also among the limited number of real estate appraisers holding the MAI designation.
The Appraisal Institute is the profession's most prestigious national association. The Institute's MAI designation is awarded to professionals who have completed a rigorous education, peer review and passed testing requirements relating to the valuation of all classes of commercial real estate.
Mr. Herrera has more than 25 years appraisal experience analyzing a wide variety of real estate ownerships and land uses.
Although, the focus of work has been in Southern California, Mr. Herrera has appraised in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

In addition to valuing nursing homes and assisted care facilities, he specializes in complex real estate ownership issues such as partial interests, lease fee/leasehold interests, and ground leases. As a certified member of the American Society of Appraisers, he is also skilled in going-concern/business valuations and is available for consultation.
